OUR HISTORY

In 1998 Parramatta Christian Church commissioned Pastor Lynton & Rose Taylor to re-launch a recently closed ACC church in the Marsfield/Macquarie Park area naming it Ryde City Church. In 2007 Ryde City Church planted an evening extension service on the banks of the Parramatta River at Meadowbank.

From this extension service River City Church, Meadowbank was officially launched in October 2008.  At River City you'll find a faith and joy-filled environment with Christians from Australia and many other nations of the world. We express our love for the Lord Jesus Christ through contemporary and relevant praise and worship and by our love and care for people..

River City Church people are Bible-loving and we believe it is still God’s will for his love and power to be demonstrated today through signs, wonders and miracles. We desire to bring people from all nations, ages, and walks of life, into a relationship with Jesus Christ and for them to live a Holy Spirit-filled life that displays the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We have a commitment to helping people fulfill their destiny in God, and together building a Holy Spirit empowered church where we can influence our world with the good news of Jesus Christ as God’s Kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven.

River City Church belongs to the ‘Australian Christian Churches’ (ACC) movement, formerly known as The Assemblies of God (AOG), in Australia since in 1937.   ACC is a movement of autonomous Pentecostal Churches working together for the purpose of mutual support and the spread of the gospel in Australia and the world. The movement has experienced consistent growth, particularly in the last 20 years and currently consists of more than 1,000 churches with over 280,000 constituents, making it the largest Pentecostal movement in Australia.
